It doesn’t feel long ago that we first were hooked by Brighton’s Rory Graham aka Rag N Bone Man’s powerful bluesy vocals after listening to his 2012 début Bluestown EP, nor being blown away by his collaboration project Dog N Bone EPalongside Leaf Dog, a prestigious veteran of the High Focus record label which RNBM signed to in late 2013. Since then his career has excelled phenomenally, having caught the attention of DJ Premier, Zane Lowe and Mistajam. He has toured with country chart toppers Bastille and has received regular airplay on BBC Radio 1. Having our yearnings for soul music only somewhat satisfied by moving vocal features alongside the likes of Button Eyes, Jman and most of the recent releases from the High Focus camp we’ve found ourselves continuously craving for more. Today however we rejoice as a new chapter in the RNBM discography is sprung; a teasing three track offering which is called Put That Soul On Me, produced by the signature style of Dirty Dike and featuring a guest verse from Ronnie Bosh (Contact Play).
